Projections project
I wanted to do projections because I thought it was a unique approach to the task. What was equally fun was using the dark room and taking the pictures, as I had never done this before. I am happy with the pictures which I took, as I think they are successful and are a different approach to the project; compared to others who are doing the same project.
What I really like about these photo's is that it was quiet an original idea and nobody else in the class has used projections in their project. I also like the contrast between the person standing in front of the projection and what the actual image is on the screen. I especially like this in casper's series of photographs as colours which he is wearing are similar to the projection however he looks older now than then.
To improve these photos it would have been nice to have had more time to improve my ideas and possibly use a wider variety of people and projections. It would also have been nice to use more of the images from the Danish exchange project, instead of the original photos - much like I did with Branwen. This would have therefore possibly given the series of photo a more abstract feel to them and brought out more colour from each photo. It would have also been a good way of linking the two projects together.
A problem which I encountered during the photo-shoot was how I wanted to position the projector, as i couldn't make my mind up. I felt that to make the photos more interesting I would need to position the projector it a way that perhaps Lorie Novak did not.

My favourite imageThe reason why I especially like this photo is that it feels like it has been taken by a professional artist, and one would see the photo in an art gallery. When our class exhibits our work at the end of the year, this is the photo I would especially like to use

My least favourite imageI found it really hard to pick my least favourite image. I think these are so far the best photo's I have so far taken by myself using a camera. The reason why this is my least favourite image is that the positioning of Branwen is a little bit weak and I feel that the camera must have been at some sort of angle when I took this photo, as it feels like the shot is not straight. To improve this photo I could have firstly moved the hand which seems to be infront of the camera. However what I am happy about this photo is that instead of using the ordinary photo, I used one of the photos which the Danish students used in the exchange project. This has given the photo a nicer feel, because if the projection was in black and white it wood have to much of a blad feel; for my taste anyway.
