Unit 2 - Futurism
Artists of the Futurist Movement sometimes used photography and film making to celebrate the energy, speed of change, technological advances and the power of machinery in the early twentieth century. Research appropriate sources and produce work in response to one of the following: (a) working with today's technology (b) what a wonderful world
For my unit 2 exam I decided that I wanted to carry out the theme of futurism, as I decided that a lot of the images I have already made are very similar to the work that futurists do (e.g the experimentation I did with motion/speed which was inspired by Ernst Haas).
Initial research
The Bragaglia brothers
Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia - was born on the 8th of July 1894 and died on the 8th of January 1998. He was a film director for the majority of his carrer (from roughly the 1930s through to the 1960s) however he did collaborate with his brother producing futurism photographs.
Anton Giulio Bragaglia - Was Born on the 11th of February 1890 and died July 15th 1960. He published a report on the movement of futurism known as Fotodinamismo. He died in rome in 1960. |

My first responce
I began my response to the motion work of the Bragaglia brothers by using an app called slow shutter, in which it does exactly what it says on the tin - slows down the shutter of the Ipod. It works by using the video aspect of the Ipod and able to take stills of the motion of how you move the Ipod.
As you can see in the above photos the app enables the user to experiment with Motion blur, Light trail and low light to create different kinds of photos. As well as this, it also allows the user to change the light sensitivity, so that the user can decide how much light enters the lens and the capture duration so that the Ipod can take in a certain amount of light over a specific period of time. Whilst taking the exposure, the app allows you to look at what you are taking in the top left hand corner of room, which is useful as it allows you to manipulate with what you are look at.
This was my first attempt using the app. I rather like it: the use of motion blur is effective due to the moving subjects in the foreground of the photo. I liked having two people in the photo, as it meant that there was a sense of contrast in the photo. However if I were to improve the photo I would have liked the, background especially, to look more stable. Thus a juxtaposition would have been created and it might have produced even more interesting image to look at.
|
My second picture is also acceptable. One of the problems with this photo, however, is that there was too much light hitting the camera lens therefore almost half of the photo is over-exposed light. The thing about this is that I could have easily fixed this problem due to the app allowing the user to adjust the light sensitivity.
This was a test run on this app and I learned a lot quickly, most definitely things which I will bear in mind on my next attempt. |
I decided that I wanted to further my experimentation with slow shutter, but instead use myself as the subject of the photo. I thought that a good form of motion was moving parts of your body in a quick motion, so I asked my teacher to take photographs with the app so that I could be in the photo. My favorite photo out of the selection is the first photo, the use of motion isn't too exaggerated but at the same time it doesn't keep the range of motion to an absolute minimal. In addition what I like about these series of photos is that they were taken in my classroom, in a studio environment (e.g the lights were set up properly and I took consideration of what I wanted my background to be), this gave me an opportunity to control the light and composition of the self portraits and was a good contrast to how I usually take my photographs in the outside world.
After taking inspiration from the Futurists and especially the Bragaglia brothers and their stimulating use of slow shutter speed, I wanted to take more photographs. This time I choose an urban environment in order to create a larger variety of images and also to begin thinking about the theme: "what a wonderful world". I took myself off to the ferocious setting of Trafalgar square in Central London in order to capture photographs in a place which says clearly to me "what a wonderful world". Taking photographs in this kind of environment was fantastic to me, as there is just so much motion and movement going on in such a dense area; there is a large concentration of people travelling from place to place, depicting our wonderful world in the wonderful city I live in-the perfect setting!!
From this set of photgraphs I have selected my favourite image and my least favourite image however I was in general pleased with the combination of the setting depicting for me "what a wonderful world" combined with the use of the slow shutter speed reflecting the influence of the futurists.

My favourite imageThis is my favourite image out of the selection which I took. I like this image in particular because you get a real sense of energy which rushes across the whole photo. It is the best photo out of all of them because it emphasises the use of motion; the way it expands across the whole photo shows how the image is dynamic in both movement and use of light.
The colour red works really well, giving the image a more dynamic feel. It is no coincidence that the image has bicycles in it, as a keen cyclist there is nothing better to describe "what a wonderful world" than the image of a bicycle for me, shot here with a slow shutter speed so being able to depict movement - a clear influence from Futurism. |
My least favourite imageI thought out of all the photos which I took, this is the photo which I felt describes least "what a wonderful world" as the image is mostly white and ghostly although it is pleasing in that way it does not describe the theme well, and could have been doing with the most improvements. Firstly, there is no exaggerated movement going on within the photo which means that the use of slow shutter isn't as effective as some of the other photos. As I said, the majority of the photo is white and, unlike my favorite photo which I have selected (which is based around the color red), which gives a more stimulating "wonderful world" feeling to the image.

'Unique forms of continuity'
I am also very interested in ways in which the Futurism art movement also involved other forms of art; not just photography. The futurist movement also reaches out to: painting, film and even poetry. These could all be influences for my photographs. For example a piece of Futurist art which I was intrigued by was a sculpture by the Italian artist Umberto Boccioni - called 'Unique Forms Of Continuity In Space"
I first discovered this piece of sculpture after doing some basic research about Futurism on the Tate Modern website
I first discovered this piece of sculpture after doing some basic research about Futurism on the Tate Modern website
The picture depicts a character jumping through the air. I wanted to depict this type of movement in my own photography, which would involve capturing the essence of the jumping motion. I felt this would be another way to look at the theme "a wonderful life" I would then involve the influences I have had from futuristic art and in particular this scupture.
Below is my first attempt to recreate the sculpture but in the form of photography:
Below is my first attempt to recreate the sculpture but in the form of photography:
Overall I definitely feel as though I could have taken more pictures at the time, it would have be nice if I also experimented with different shutter speeds and also settings as it would have also meant I would have more pictures to evaluate. However I do feel that the pictures I did take were successful and effectively represent the sculpture at hand. Unfortunately a lot of the time when I was taking the pictures I would often press the capture button too quick, which meant that the subject would have jumped before I even took the photo - this however added to the learning process.
Using Photoshop to create Futurism compositions...
I decided that I wanted to develop these photos further, I felt the backgrounds of the photographs were quite boring but I could make good use of the jumping person against images which better described "what a wonderful world" . With this in my mind took these pictures of the trees along the South-Bank, when visiting an exhibition at the Tate Modern to research the futurists.
At the same time I continued to look at Futurism in painting, which I felt I really could take inspiration from. In this painting I like the ways the colour is repeated throughout the painting and the way the image is fragmented , but in a distorted fashion. This painting was originally painted by Umberto Boccioni, which, oddly enough, is also the artist which I took inspiration from the first set of images above. What I felt I could use from this picture is the way the artist is able to repeat a part of the image but sustains a contrast between abstraction. As well as this I also admired the way that energy is portrayed across the whole painting; which is something I should focus on when reflecting my own work on Futurism.
|
I thought that the first image which I created was the least successful out of all the images which I had developed from the original composition. When I started experimenting with Photoshop, I didn't quite know how I would increase the size of the man jumping through the air, so that was an initial problem which I faced. Another problem which I faced is that I found it difficult to work out how I would replicate the image which I took inspiration from and somehow represent this using the tools on Photoshop.
The next image which I created, I found was certainly an improvement from the first one. This image is also a step closer towards recreating what the image looks like but I have adapted it so that it is based around my own resources. After a period of time working on photoshop (and more or less figuring out how I could make manipulate an image into a Futurist piece), I found a way in which I could move the person jumping so that they matched up with each other. This is effective as it reflects the original image which I based the image on. The final image which I was able to create through Photoshop, was this one. With this image I also tied in some of the skills which I learned through the Bragaglia brothers work. I wanted the character jumping to seem almost 'ghost-like' so that it gave the image a sense of character and mystery which the Bragaglia brothers were very good at presenting. As well as this I worked on the image in photoshop to give it a more dense feel. I felt this was strongly influenced by the Boccioni painting, which is why I used it in this picture. I think this image is "futuristic" as it refers back to the work of Boccioni with its movement and fragmentation I think it also describes "what a wonderful world" for me as the topic of the photograph is a young person jumping in a visually futuristic background. I think the background is definately closer to looking like " what a wonderful world" than the original photos I took at school. |
I took a further set of images of a person, but this time they were doing a more varied range of movements. I think that I will be able to work with this set of photographs to develop on from what I have already done. What I find is successful about these sets of images is that I have got a large range of motion throughout each photo, which may offer more potential when combined with my Futurist influences. I believe I will be able create a successful futurism composition.
These photos which I have created on photoshop, I think are really effective. With the help of photoshop I have created successful photos which refer to the futurists but also look like that of a professional photographer. You get this sense of movement from each image being blended into one another using photoshop techniques, they also look ghost like, similar to the Bragaglia brothers which I was pleased with. Again I was working on the topic of "what a wonderful world " by showing a young person looking thoughtful in movement especially in the image I created which placed his the head in the sky.
Creating motion blur using a DSLR camera
I knew that I needed to progress my work using motion blur by combining the current work I had already completed with the usage of a DSLR camera. This would involve developing my technique and knowledge of using a variety of shutter speeds. I thought that due to the way Futurists would often relate there work to technology would that it would be good to take motion blur photos of moving cars and traffic working on the technology idea. As well as this I felt that it would be interesting to take pictures whilst on a moving train or in a car, from out of the window. Combining movement, speed (Futurism ) with the theme of "what a wonderful world" hopefully being incorporated along the way by producing fast and exciting images.
Using the skills which I had learned from the video above, I was able to compose two series of photos which involved motion blur with a DSLR. Overall I am happy with these set of images as these were just some of my first days of using my very own DSLR camera whilst experimenting with motion blur. I find that with these pictures which I created there is a large variety in terms of quality/usage of the blur effect. Some of the photos are more "blurry" these photographs were most definately an excercise in technique which was very beneficial.
SET #1
These images were taken at night which proved both interesting and a challenge - I took them on a train journey, trying out various shutter speeds.
Overall I think that these could have been the images that I would have most liked to have improved out of all the sets of images so far. The biggest problem I had was that they weren't taken in a setting which had a lot of light (as they were taken during the nighttime). I think it would be interesting to take the same journey but during a time that has lots of light shining through the train window. It would be interesting in terms of the contrast of the quality of each photo compared to this set of pictures.

My favourite imageI chose this one because in the bottom right hand corner you can see two blurred figures, which I feel adds a sense of mystery to the picture. This, as well as the white background which the figures have behind creates contradicting colours within the photo, it's a really nice usage of contrast between black and the white, which really emphasises the use of black colour within the photo (of course without making it too dark, such as the picture I chose as my least favourite).
|
My least favorite imageAs you can see in this picture - you can barely see anything, and what's the point in a photo which is almost all black and doesn't have much substance? I thought when taking this photo that the motion blur wouldn't be very clear, the lights are too far away to notice anything and it was too dark to take the photo from the inside of a train.
|
Undeterred by my first attempt at using a DSLR camera I set off for a second session. This time I photographed buildings at night as I was sure they would provide more contrast as the lighting would be more interesting and predictable to work with.
SET #2
My favourite imageThis photo is my favourite photo out of all of set #2 because:
It has the best use of motion blur within it and you can notice an impressive contrast between the frozen and the motion. The photo is split in to two section which is separated by the Iceland logo, (which is frozen). A contrast is created within the image. I feel I am getting the hang of the slow shutter speed on my camera. This image I feel does have a "futuristic feel" and I liked that I captured the Iceland logo in reverse. |
My least favorite imageThe problem with this photo is that it would work very well as a normal photograph (it has a lovely green which strikes through the dark background; indeed intriguing) however as it is Futurism I am focusing on, it seems as though this photograph doesn't really hit the Futurism category. I feel as though this photograph could have really been improved easily; I could have been advantageous over the lights in the photo with the usage of motion blur. The problem was is that I had the shutter speed set on so that it was too fast and made the photo too still. I should have instead set it too 25, thus giving the photo a sense of blur.
|
I decided that instead of taking my motion blur to the streets I would do it in the studio in class, to see if the motion blur technique could be improved within a controlled environment. I was very pleased with the results.
Favorite image
I think this image is successful because it is the one which contains the most basic components and yet it still manages to look effective. What I love most is the contrast of colour which is created through the black background and the main lighter image. This contributes towards some of my original work which I did based on the work of the Bragaglia brothers; the subject looks ghostlike as he peeps out from the darkness. When taking this photo, I had the subject move his head from one side of the image to the other, so that I was able to capture the light whilst his head was moving.
|
Image that could have been improved...
I think this is my least successful picture because I used the flash instrument too much when taking the picture, this has therefore led to too much exposure throughout the photo. To improve this photo I could have spread out the flashes across the page, so that they don't all get jumbled up in one area of the photo.

Futurism and "what a wonderful world"
I though that the best way to work with my overall theme would be to begin specificly taking pictures on things which I summed up the scheme of work 'What a wonderful world' I planned to develop the theme by looking at:
Things which I find wonderful about this world:
1) Opportunities
2) Information
3) Communication
4) Food
5) Education

Opportunities
What better describes a wonderful world than the London Marathon. It is made up of participants grabbing life to the full and thinking to the future. With this in mind I set off to the start line of the Marathon. I was hoping to take photographs to continue the theme of movement inspired by the Futurists that I have worked on throughout this project. The opportunity to participate in Sport is something which has certainly developed since the time of the Futurism artists. I thought that the London Marathon would be an excellent example of an event where a wide range of people have the "opportunity " to take part. It is an event with a future and the Marathon is proof that anyone can have the opporunity to be involved in sport. I also decided that taking pictures of the Marathon was an interesting way of responding to the Futurist artists and this scheme of work, as movement of the runners look very similar to the kind of movement which Futurist artists were interested in.
If you would like to see the full range of images which I took of the Marathon then click the link below:
My favourite image...The best thing that works about this photograph is the contrast which is noticeable between the top half and lower half. The top of half consists of peaceful looking trees and a calm blue sky, on the other hand the lower half has this slightly chaotic feel to it, with the runners running up the street as fast as possible. As well as this the photo has a large range of movement which carries this sense of energy across the photo from the left to the right, which attaches motion to the picture. When taking this photo, I wanted it to have some sort of reference to the original idea of 'What a wonderful world' and I thought the most effective way of displaying this sort of idea was getting as many people involved in the photo as possible. This photo has done this effectively. What also works in this photo is the contrast between the large amount of runners that takes up the majority of the picture and the people taking the pictures on the right hand side.
Photographing the London marathon was a great opportunity, but it was a challenge, it was fast moving and exciting and a subject suited to photographs of a photojournalism persuasion. So I decided to work on these photographs with an App to try and develop them. I felt they had everything right about them in terms of the "what a wonderful world" as I have described but they needed a big push in to the theme of Futurism - I am pleased with the results.

Improving the images...Overall I believe that the images could have been improved by adding more variety to the photographs that I took. It would have been really interesting to perhaps take pictures from an ariel viewpoint, so that I would be able to take the whole crowd in Greenwich park (where the start line is and the location of where I took the pictures in this series). What would have also worked well about using the ariel shot on the marathon is that this would have also contributed to the 'What a wonderful world' theme, as it would have been an inventive way of capturing the world in its whole.
In addition, to improve this series of photos I could have visited more areas of London where the Marathon took place. It would have been interesting to see the difference between the type of movement in my shots and the type of movement towards the finish line, perhaps half way. What also works really well about the photos is that in quite a few of them they have very pleasing characters within each image, for instance I find the picture of the man in the dinosaur costume very interesting to look at as you can see this contrast in the picture of numerous runners in normal clothing and just this one man in a very humorous looking dinosaur costume. If I were to improve the photos I would have liked to have concentrated more so on the type of runners within each photo. Another example of how this would have been effective as I saw a few people dressed up in rhinoserous costumes and this would have been really interesting to photograph and would have successfully reflected the 'What a wonderful world' theme. |
Information
Access to information is something which has certainly developed in the past 10 or so years. I thought that the science museum would be an excellent location to take photographs as it is an excellent example of how information is propelling society into the future. It presents the latest information about the future of space travel It feels like you have stepped into the same world which ispresented in many science fiction stories and a perfect place to reflect on'What a wonderful world'.
Research: Christian Stoll
Before I went to the Science museum I researched the photographer Christian Stoll for me he is a photographer who perfectly encapsulated the theme of futurism. He has worked with huge forward thinking companies of the future such as Microsoft and IBM but has, in my opinion, maintained a standard of futuristic photography combined with a depictions of the wonderful world that we live in. I was particularly inspired by his photographs of futuristic locations and was influenced by his images of space machinery shown in the images on the right. With these in mind I set of to the science museum in London...

Selecting my favourites
I was very pleased with theses series of pictures, despite the museum being crammed on the day, I felt I was able to produce images which had an interesting approach to the topic. I was able to able to produce photos on the 'What a wonderful world' scheme of work, after all what describes "what a wonderful world" and futurism better than being surrounded by mankind's bid to travel into Space - the technology developed, the opportunities and it's all about the future.
Food
Food is a big contributor to everyone's feelings on what a wonderful world we live in, but how could I make it connect to the theme of Futurism. My favorite restaurant which depicts for me a 'wonderful world' and is also the most futuristic place I have eaten in is Yo! Sushi. It encapsulates futurism as it is possibly one of the most futuristic restaurants I have ever been too. It's interior is a series of conveyor belts which resemble machinery; futuristic pods of food and, vibrant and inviting colors and movement which have great potential for my theme.
I took these images with the camera low down on the surface of the table but was also pleased that I was able
to capture a sense of height within the room. I like the abstract quality as they work well of images of shape and color. I have chosen this image to take in to photoshop to see if I can heighten the futuristc feel that the photographs have.

On the three images above I have used the blur tool, the motion tool and the Diffuse Glow tool as I was experimenting with trying to achieve some of the effects I had worked on earlier to do with motion and the futurists.
I simply inverted my image in Photoshop to achieve this effect which I think is both Futuristic and has a feel for "a wonderful world" as the balloons give it a party feel.
I was lucky on the day of photographing at Yoi! Sushi that they had this wonderful fish window display. It was a bonus to photograph it, I was immediately drawn to it as I thought it was both futuristic and had a great, fun vibe to it which tied in with "what a wonderful world".
I really like the abstract quality of these photographs, I especially like the image where a person walks by -this was a cracking example of the decisive moment within photography, which I actually learned about in one of my first sections of unit 1, so i felt applying my knowledge from previous projects was an effective way towards creating pictures. I now planned to use these images with everything I have learned about the slow motion techniques to enhance progression on the theme a "wonderful world".

Education
I decided to depict education by taking pictures at my school, but to make the images more interesting I used ... in order to maximize the futuristic experimentation of the series of photographs
Why does education link with the concept of Futurism and the theme of 'what a wonderful world? Firstly, education is one of the most important factors when it comes to proppeling society into the future. Humanity has developed speed, flight and technology, which is in the main thanks to the education which provides opportunities to all at every stage of our 'wonderful world'. Education offers equality and opportunity to all young people embarking on the path to their future.

I actually took inspiration from the video on the left hand side, which describes the importance of education in modern society and why it is helps society develop in many ways. In the video, the vlogger, John Green, makes the point that due to the comprehensive school system in America, NASA were able to send a robot to Mars. This was because of one of the leading engineers of the Mars project being from a state school and being allowed the opportunity through education to make such a huge advancement of our understanding of science and the future.
|
Overall, I think that these images were only partly successful, as quite a few of them don't fully represent the futuristic aspects of education.I enjoyed using the lens which I picked for this photo shoot, as it involved attention to detail when it came to creating the right focus for the picture. In addition to this I would have liked to have made more images of students going from each lesson, as these are the ones which were more successful. However I was able to create a contrast in terms of focus when it came to the foreground of the different objects in the school (e.g trees and metal structures) and the background of the students moving from place to place. I also think this links to the "what a wonderful world" theme, as it shows how something that seems so far away, such as the future, will breed numerous positive possibilities. I thought the two images which say Disciplined and Inquisitive which I took from ping pong tables although not great photographs in themselves had potential as the words told a story so I have combined them with the image of a photographer to portray a statement about education. I am pleased with the results.
Below are my four favourite images which I have selected from the education series of photographs:
Final outcome #1
Now it was time to select the images which best portray Futurism and "what a wonderful world". I decided to use these two pictures from the science museum shoot, which I did for the information section of my opportunities project. The reason i have chosen them is because they show the strongest depiction of the themes and are my best photographs. The visit to the science museum came about after many other attempts at capturing the theme: for example my photographs of Trafalgar square, YO! Sushi, various shoots at school but it was the photos at the science museum and the inspiration of Christopher Stoll that I felt brought everything together.
I decided to combine the two above pictures in Photoshop using some of the skills I had learned during this project. I had worked on opacity levels in my education section and in the early motion pictures I did at the start of the project. I worked on the opacity levels of these two images then felt that the colors were not working together, which led me to the perfect solution of changing the final photograph to black and white. I feel this produced a very strong final image which describes the theme of Futurism and
Final outcome #2

The slideshow to the left shows the two images I chose for working on to produce the image below them. I was excited by the results of combining these two images so pushed on and created another image combining yet another two photographs from my yo! sushi shoot.
The more I worked on combining images and opacity levels the more interesting results I produced in photoshop. This one I liked because the original photograph underneath the flying fish image has become abstracted leaving the viewer asking questions about what they are looking at. I also like the monochrome greyness combined with the gold fish. This image works because the conveyer belt image has been abstracted sufficiently to make the image look more mysterious. I feel the theme of Futurism is well represented with the futuristic pod combined with the joyful golden fish which represent "what a wonderful world". This was the image which I was able to produce before coming to my final outcome which I felt most happy with. The buildings form a formal background grid for the fish shapes to work with. I continued the use of the greys/monochrome background with the colored layer on top. I used the Vibrance tool in Photoshop to make the fish glow (as in my original photograph) as I liked the combination of the futuristic Yo Sushi pod moving through the bright glowing fish which represent "what a wonderful world" In this image I tried the plusspherize tool on my image but decided not to use this as my final image as I decided it didn't add anything to the image & theme. |
Final outcome #2 - completed version
This was the final image which I created using various processes. This was the image which I was most happiest with when experimenting in Photoshop with the images I created; as described above. This image has been created from my original photographs taken at Yo! Sushi.
Final evaluation
At the start of the unit I decided to choose the theme of Futurism which I would focus on during unit 2. I decided to choose this because I thought it was one of the more unique options from the selection, as many of the choices were ones which I had encountered before (such as the street photography option). I was interested in doing something which was unusual and new to me, in which I would be able to demonstrate that I could be challenged in different areas of photography; even if I was not familiar with them. In addition I thought it would be interesting to research an area of photography which would widening my knowledge of the subject, leading me to be more aware of the variety of types of images you can produce. The theme of Futurism lead me to develop my techniques, such as creating motion blur and being able to edit and experiment with images within photoshops such as opacity levels. I learned to step outside the conventional way of creating photographs; using Futurism as my topic was a great choice.
There were numerous example of ideas which I had developed over the course of studying Futurism. On one hand using motion blur was a technique which I had consistently used and was consistently developing throughout Unit 2, I began this by using a fairly basic app which allowed me to conveniently take motion blur photographs. Using the app introduced me to the fundamentals of how motion blur worked, allowing me to develop from this in the future. I was allowed to move around London, which you can see in my first set of images in Unit 2, and take motion blur photos of crowds, vehicles and moving lights using a simple device such as an Ipod.
I challenged myself to using a DSLR camera, experimenting with shutter speed which I initally found very challenging but practice was key to success with this. I took photographs of real events and places all with their own challenges and success such as the marathon, a busy restaurant and Trafalgar Square. I took many photographs and managed to create "favourites".
Throughout my project, I used a variety of ways to record ideas and the progress I had made in terms of producing images that reflected the development of my knowledge on Futurism. An example of how I recorded my research was using different facilities on the web, such as: Pinteret and Popplet. The reason why I used these resources was because of the amount of different ideas which I had on the subject of Futurism; it was essential for me to find a space on the internet in which I would be able to conveniently place ideas into and be able to simultaneously show off the different ideas on my Weebly through the using of using picture hyperlinks. Furthermore, the different spaces for planning on my Weebly provided a space in which I would be able to select what techniques I wanted to use in my final piece, as storing a space for the images which I admired by different photographers allowed me to examine what techniques I wanted to use. So, the use of recording different pieces of information which I could present on my Weebly was very advantageous to me. In addition providing the viewer of my website with different ways of presenting my images was something I had to think of throughout the process of developing my knowledge on unit 2. One example of how I presented the photographs I had made was using the gallery component on the Weebly website. I used this because it was one of the most simple yet effective way of presenting my response to each of the subjects which I had thought of for each of the areas of "what a wonderful world".
I feel that my two final pieces were exploding with Futuristic aspects and numerous components of each photograph embraced the "what a wonderful world" theme. With the first final piece - using the images I had made from the science museum - I was able to combine my best two images and create a picture which looked Futuristic and fufilled the brief of "what a wonderful world"
Combining Futurism with "what a wonderful world" was an exciting and challenging combination. I chose a wide range of subjects ranging my friends to the Science Museum to illustrate the theme . I had them jumping to illustrate what a wonderful life they have and then applied Futurism movement to those images.
Developing my sub headings for "what a wonderful world" pushed the theme extensively and finally lead to my final photographs being a success.
